There's nothing like the thrill of holding in your hand a book which YOU wrote or contributed to. That's the feeling we are trying to share with this website. But we need more people to write! I know it's hard... but it's rewarding! Indulge me as I share that giddy delight with you...

This one will be a lot of fun and rather personal. If I may be so forward... what's in your junk drawer? We all have them. What's in yours?! This will be a quirky picture book with some text (maybe) but mostly it's a curiosity and a strange glimpse into our collective and disheveled lives. What a beautiful mess.
Here's mine!
What's yours look like? Your junk drawer could become a part of another great iScribed boo… Continue

We've got so many great "embarrassing moment" stories after Peggy Myers started it off with her hilariously mortifying Know who is on the Phone story, that we decided to start a new book project entitled: Open Mouth, Insert Foot: Tales of Saying the Wrong Thing at the Wrong Time. We moved all the stories that fit this theme into this new category, so if your story moved, it must have been great... it inspired… Continue

At this point, we've got most of the features on iScribed worked out and done. We'll be adding more features as we move forward, but for the most part, we're there. We hit 40 members over the last week and we're hoping that people will begin to take a "risk" and post some creative work, invite their friends to view and critique it and invite others to join.
I think there is a bit of psychological, emotional block that people have to break through before they "enable" themselves to write and sub… Continue

Does anybody remember the back in the day of classic SNL? They did a skit with from the oval office, and I think it must have been Ford who was president, and he had his Chief of Staff next to the desk, who said, "Mr. President, you have Yasser Arafat on the phone" Then as the conversation started the secretary chimed in with "Mr. President, you have President Nasser from Egypt on line 2"
Then the fun started with "Who's on which line?"
"Yasser on 1 and Nasser on 2"
"The Egyptian President is… Continue
Good news to announce today...we just added Ratings to the Stories section of iScribed. With this feature, community members will be able to vote on the Stories they review and we'll be able to determine the best Stories submitted. At this point, we're just about ready to soft launch to friends and family. Continue

Things are beginning to come together here on iScribed. We've figured out much of the technology platform and have been able to quickly customize much of what the user (you) experience when you come to the Community. We're very close to adding ratings to the stories that people post and, once we have that function, we'll be ready to move to a soft launch (invitation only).
We're also working on forming a relationship with a printing company, so that we'll be able to offer books for sale… Continue

Still just trying to figure out whether this platform is flexible enough to incorporate all the features that Tim and I have been talking through. So far,we've had pretty good luck with it but are struggling with adding ratings to Stories. I connected with a developer in New Zealand who says that he may be able to lend a hand. Check back here to see whether we get it done. We're almost ready to launch in beta to our friends and family. Continue
