Why iScribed?

It's the dream of many to write the next “Great American Novel.” Maybe that was your dream before life got in the way. Did you ever stop to think that maybe the thing that keeps you from writing, is the very thing you should be writing about?

You may not have an entire book in you, but do you have one great story? Two? More? You may not have the “Great American Novel," but you do have a lifetime of experiences to share. You know you do!

This is the idea behind iScribed. We give you the ability to pay tribute to someone, inspire someone, crack someone up, lift someone up, entertain someone, thank someone, scare someone, teach someone, and more. One story at a time.

I loved, I laughed, I learned, I lived.

And then when I wanted to share it all… iScribed

I got an advance copy of my new book!

There's nothing like the thrill of holding in your hand a book which YOU wrote or contributed to. That's the feeling we are trying to share with this website. But we need more people to write! I know it's hard... but it's rewarding! Indulge me as I share that giddy delight with you...

ANOTHER NEW BOOK!

This one will be a lot of fun and rather personal. If I may be so forward... what's in your junk drawer? We all have them. What's in yours?! This will be a quirky picture book with some text (maybe) but mostly it's a curiosity and a strange glimpse into our collective and disheveled lives. What a beautiful mess.

Here's mine!

What's yours look like? Your junk drawer could become a part of another great iScribed boo… Continue

ANNOUNCEMENT: New Book!

We've got so many great "embarrassing moment" stories after Peggy Myers started it off with her hilariously mortifying Know who is on the Phone story, that we decided to start a new book project entitled: Open Mouth, Insert Foot: Tales of Saying the Wrong Thing at the Wrong Time. We moved all the stories that fit this theme into this new category, so if your story moved, it must have been great... it inspired… Continue

Thanks for the welcome, TWalsh. I'm glad to hear from you because I was wondering how best to upload what I intend to be doing here. I'd like to upload a series of poems (individually) that I've set to music. In fact, the set makes up what is actually a complete musical show somewhat on the order of Cats. I'd like the poem as originally written to appear simultaneously with the music so that the reader/listener can know what was added or embellished in writing the music.

All the music tracks are on MP3s. Do I upload the poems from Word or Notebook? And how do I make sure that they are coordinated so that the words appear on the same page from which the music is played?

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the input...would it be better if I send the entire story (15 short kid chapters)? I was hoping to get an opinion/critique on this (and my poems) so I would know whether to pursue or not to pursue getting them published. What do you think? Cheryl

Hi T Walsh,
Thank you for your comment on my poem. I don`t think I was so much into the content of this poem as I was the form and the flow. The words just kind of came. Can you tell I was raised in a Babtist setting?
Thanx Again,

thank you, i am very dislexic and i did not consider myself much of a writer but i do not care i just have to share and pour myself out into writen words and well one day about 3 years ago my hands went on strike they refused to really work with me untill i sat down and wrote up all these poems and stories that were welled up inside me. They needed to be released in what ever means they could and it seems that i have made up my own new rules and unique way of writing. I am rather proud of that
