1. What is iScribed?

iScribed is a community of creative people who love books and who want to be a part of the process of creating them by writing, designing, reading and critiquing the creative work that happens here. The top stories get printed in books and there are many book projects to which you can contribute.

2. How do I get started on iScribed?

Just register. The biggest hurdle people face is the courage to write something. The creative process is often uncomfortable at first, especially if you’re not used to putting your thoughts to written word. But... trust yourself. You have many stories to tell and others will enjoy reading them. So break through your comfort zone and give it a shot. You'll be surprised at how fulfilling it is.

3. Who owns the copyright to the stories and images I submit?

You do! When you join iScribed you grant us a non-exclusive license to use whatever you submit in the form of stories, images, videos, etc., in creative projects, including printed books! How cool is that?

4. What can I submit?

Almost anything, as long as you own the rights to it. When you register you agree to submit only original work. That means if it’s a story, you wrote it. If it’s a photograph, you took the picture. If it’s a design, you illustrated it, etc. At iScribed, we respect the rights of others and expect our members to do the same. We reserve the right to reject submissions that contain inappropriate material.

5. How often do you print books?

Generally, a book will be produced every 3-4 months depending on the number of stories submitted. If one of your stories is selected you will receive a free copy of the book in which your story appears.

6. Can anyone buy iScribed books or is it just for the people who contribute

Anyone can buy our books and they are available only through our site. As a community, iScribed members all contribute to making a book better, not just by writing stories, but by making suggestions, finding typos, and critiquing the stories of other members.

7. What does it cost to join?

Nothing. In fact, we might pay you! The writers of the top 5 stories in each book category will receive $100 each!
